There are many individuals who contribute their time and talents to help make wishes come true. We hope you find the following information helpful in learning more about our Chapter's volunteer program.

What Make-A-Wish Volunteers Do

Become a Wish Grantor
Help grant the favorite wishes of our special Wish Children who live throughout Oklahoma.

Do you enjoy talking to & being around children and are willing to travel on occasion to meet with wish children who may reside up to an hour or more from your home or office? Do you consider yourself a caring, creative and dependable person? Are you able to look at things through a child's eyes? Do you believe in the mission of Make-A-Wish? If you have answered "yes" to the above questions, then a "Wish Grantor" position may be just for you!

As a Wish Grantor you will have the opportunity to give our Wish Children something positive to focus on as they continue fighting their illnesses. We are looking for people to help us make special dreams come true & to create experiences and memories that will last a lifetime!

Help Raise Funds for our Chapter as a Special Events Volunteer
We are searching for individuals who enjoy working with outside event organizers to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oklahoma. Some of the exciting events that our volunteers have supported in the past include motorcycle rallies, golf tournaments, school functions, dream home tours, concert events and more.

At The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oklahoma, special events Volunteers have the opportunity to work with wonderful people from all walks of life who give of their time and resources to raise money for Make-A-Wish.

Provide Administrative or Creative Support to the Office
We are always looking for individuals with the following skills and interests: word processing/data entry, graphic design, general administrative duties. Make-A-Wish welcomes Office Volunteers who can commit a minimum of four hours per week.

Time Commitment
The amount of time that individuals spend volunteering will depend on which committee(s) with which they are involved. A large majority of our volunteers manage to volunteer in addition to having full time jobs and families of their own. Most volunteer assignments can be done after-hours or on weekends, but flexibility with your schedule is always helpful.
