On September 19, 2009, Macy’s 2009 Thanks for Sharing program kicks off and benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other charitable causes. Thanks for Sharing is a Macy's Rewards Program exclusive to Macy's card holders. Enrollment requires a one-time $25 fee charged to the customer's Macy's account. For each enrollment, Macy's will make a $10 donation to charity, up to $15 million. Upon enrollment, customers will begin earning 10% rewards on all of their net Macy's purchases made on their Macy's Card through December 31. The "rewards" come in the form of a Macy's Thanks for Sharing gift card sent to participants in Feb 2010, which can be used at any Macy's store.

Celebrating Home (previously Home & Garden party, Ltd) has selected the Make-A-Wish Foundation as the charity of choice to profit from a special candle promotion. For each joy candle (priced at $7.50) Celebrating Home will donate $3 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, with a minimum guaranteed contribution of $50,000.
